PHYSICIAN – Physiatrist/Interventional Pain Physician

California- Department of Veterans Affairs California Health Care System, Fresno, CA, affiliated with University of California- San Francisco Medical Residency Program, leader in health care quality is recruiting for a full-time faculty member for a Physiatrist position, with training or skills in Interventional Pain Management. Faculty positions sought at the instructor, assistant, associate or full professor level. This position will report directly to the Section Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with oversight from Chief of Medicine Service. The physiatrist will be responsible for the Fresno VA physiatry clinic and interventional pain procedure clinic, coverage for in-patient physiatry service when needed, education of trainees, as well as other duties as assigned by section chief. VA provides patient centered care, delivered by engaged, collaborative teams in an integrated environment that supports learning and continuous improvement. The candidate we are looking for must be a physician of high caliber and have outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills. As a member of the VA professional leadership team, the candidate must be knowledgeable in supervising therapy staff and trainees, administrative responsibilities, and provide high quality veteran-centered care within their area of specialty. Interested applicants should be able to demonstrate similar characteristics. Candidate must have a medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent), must be eligible to obtain a US medical license and be board certified/eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Fresno is located 3 hours south of San Francisco and just 2 hours from 3 national parks, including Yosemite, and year-round recreation.
