Description

Translational Research Specialist

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide and the Thoracic Oncology Program is poised to conquer it. The Kratz lab at the UCSF Surgery/Cancer Center is looking for a specialist at Associate or Full Level to assist with translational and clinical research efforts. This individual will work closely with the group working on assembling a clinical database and performing clinical and translational research in human thoracic malignancies.

The translational research and drug discovery development team works in four key areas:

  1. Translational research projects for patients diagnosed with high-risk early-stage lung cancer 2. Clinical Outcomes Research 3. Clinical Trials Research The position requires an MD degree or equivalent and a demonstrated capacity to work accurately and learn quickly. It is an outstanding opportunity for those wanting more exposure to the field of clinical and translational research. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well meticulous organizational skills are required.
