Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Residence Department of Radiation Oncology
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking an outstanding scientist trained in radiation or cancer biology with interest and/or expertise in radiation carcinogenesis, the tumor microenvironment, or immunological response of malignancies.
The candidate will be expected to be active in multidisciplinary oncology programs at the UCSF Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, or UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay. The candidate will be expected to teach in educational courses provided by the Department of Radiation Oncology for medical students, residents and fellows, as well as contribute to continuing medical education efforts including the departmental annual scientific conference, and to participate in graduate courses and training as warranted.
The appointee will occupy space at the Mount Zion UCSF campus.
Candidates are required to hold a PhD or MD/PhD degree, and to have demonstrated achievement in their field. The candidate will have an established record as principal investigator in basic or translational research and demonstrate the ability to attract funding for laboratory research.
