The Department of Pediatrics at University of San Francisco (UCSF), Fresno Medical Education Program and Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG) are seeking a BE/BC pediatric intensivist to provide coverage in a brand new 10- bed pediatric intensive care unit. The candidate will be joining three full time faculty to offer care in a growing medical-surgical PICU as well as coverage of pediatric trauma and burn patients in a burn ICU. Our UCSF Fresno Pediatric residents provide continuity of care to this unit and daily rounds occur in a multi-disciplinary fashion supported by pediatric respiratory therapist, pharmacist, dietitian, social worker, and a case manager.
UCSF Fresno is a regional UCSF campus and the successful candidate will join the Division of Critical Care Medicine with an academic appointment as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at UCSF Department of Pediatrics in San Francisco. Salary will be consistent with the successful candidate’s professional background and commensurate with experience.
Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in downtown Fresno is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers (CMC). Community Medical Centers is a private, not-for-profit healthcare network and the largest provider of healthcare services in the Central San Joaquin Valley. As a 685-bed teaching hospital, CRMC is home to the region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and comprehensive Burn Center. It provides neonatal care in the valley’s largest level 3 NICU with 84 beds. Additionally, UCSF-Fresno is partnered with UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco, globally recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare.

Candidates must hold a M.D. or equivalent degree, be eligible to work in the United States, and be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in California. The ideal candidate will have evidence of translational or clinical research productivity, possess leadership skills, and demonstrates a strong interest in growing and developing the division, as well as educating trainees and staff. There are a lot of opportunities for education, clinical research and quality improvement projects. UCSF Fresno also offers full service of Pediatric Simulation Program for residents and staff.
