Description
The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
Clinical responsibilities encompass all of breast imaging including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast interventional procedures, and breast MRI exams. Faculty are expected to develop a clinical or more basic research program in the area of one's specialty focus. Responsibilities include clinical service, teaching and research. The selected candidate will supervise and teach residents, fellows and medical students in Breast Imaging. Obligations will include work primarily at UCSF Mt. Zion but may include clinical work at UCSF Moffitt/Long Hospital, the VA Medical Center, China Basin Outpatient Facility, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and/or Mission Bay Hospital, all of which are affiliated teaching, clinical and research facilities of UCSF.
The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, expertise in breast imaging, and completion of fellowship training in breast imaging by the start date of the faculty appointment. Applicants must be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology and must be certified to interpret mammography under the Mammography Quality Standards Act. The requirements are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date.
