Position description

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking two (2) full-time Neuroradiologists for faculty positions. The selected candidates will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

Faculty are expected to develop a clinical or more basic research program in one or more subspecialty domains within neuroradiology. Responsibilities include clinical service, teaching and research. The selected candidate will supervise and teach residents, fellows and medical students to interpret plain film, CT, and MRI neuroradiology examinations and to perform image-guided neuroradiology procedures including biopsies and spinal pain injections. Obligations will include clinical work primarily at UCSF Parnassus-Long Hospital but may also involve clinical work at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, UCSF/Mt. Zion Hospital, UCSF China Basin, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and/or Mission Bay Hospital, all of which are affiliated teaching, clinical and research facilities of UCSF.

The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, expertise in neuroradiology and completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship training in neuroradiology. Applicants are required (or eligible) to be board certified in Radiology and to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. There is a preference for one of these positions to be subspecialty based in pediatric neuroradiology.
